“I don’t have money!”
Who hasn’t said this expression at least once in their life or heard it?
Money and mentality
The rich are those who never say they don’t have money. “Yes, they do, because they have money.”
That’s right! They are the ones! The rich, because they, regardless of the government, the state they are in, have money. They have money because they know how to make it and they know how to keep it. They know how the financial system works and they act with knowledge.
Most people who are rich were not born that way, they became that way. They learned about money and used the information to get rich. They are the ones who don’t sit on the sidelines and comment that they are not being offered, that no one helps them; they don’t wait for it to be given to them.
Whoever behaves like a fox, like a fox will get it! (This is the fable in which a fox believes that the grapes, which he cannot reach, are sour.)
The rich are people, not aliens (no matter how much you believe in such theories). They don’t have more heads than you, nor were they born smart. They learned. They talked about money, they were informed, they learned what money is, how to have it and keep it, but most importantly, how to make it work for you. Rich people are actually financially educated.
Financial education comes with responsibility, with work and with perseverance in achieving financial goals. Money does not fall from the sky, money is not made easily; it is not earned overnight.
However, how many people work day and night without having money at the end of the month? Very many. Employees, but also entrepreneurs. It is not necessary to be an entrepreneur to have money. There are few who are entrepreneurs and have money. Being an entrepreneur is not like being a pitcher in the middle of the sea and no matter how much you want not to accumulate water, the water accumulates. Well, the entrepreneur must know, first of all, what money is, what rules it has and how the financial system works.
30-year debt
There are many people who do not know what money is and how the financial system works, that is why they do not have money. Many people have loans for their homes. This is how they use the financial system. And not just any loan: for 30 years. They are 30 years old and they think that they have gone 30 years without having a house and that they still have that much and they retire without having a house of their own. They get one. On credit. For 30 years. And all this time they pay interest to the bank, meaning more money for the same house. But they do not have savings for 30 years. They don’t even have 5,000 euros in the bank, saved, but they have 50,000 – 70,000 euros in bank loans. And why don’t they have money is the question. Well, how can they have money, if they don’t know what money is, what its rules are, how the financial system works.
I am a savings planner and financial investment consultant and in the more than 4 years I have been active in this field, I have encountered reflections such as: “how should I put my money in the bank, how should the bank use my money?! I don’t trust banks!” But do you trust banks to give you 50,000 euros in “interest” and work your whole life without knowing financial freedom?!
Even if I were not a financial consultant, but were what I have been for several years, almost 12 years, a person focused on saving and investing, I would think that their logic, that of these people, is not a very fair logic.
“How should the bank use my money?!”
Do you consider that you have a very profitable relationship with the bank, that you use its money? Yes, you pay interest for 30 years. That means the bank is making money from this arrangement. You just feel like you’re using the bank.
People can’t imagine saving money for 30 years, but they borrow money for 30 years. If they can’t pay the bank anymore, they move into a rental and will continue to pay the bank for a house they don’t have and never will. But saving money… no, “I don’t have the money.” You won’t either!
Fight or flight!
The long term numbs the brain. The “Fight or flight” principle and short-term reward work in the financial decisions that lead most people to bankruptcy. They fight against bank interest rates for a loan and run away from saving. Here comes the immediate reward: you go to the bank, take the money and live in a house. But if you go to the bank and deposit money, you have to wait for it to accumulate and it takes time. And if you invest, it takes time. We spend better, we live our lives and we end up realizing that life and others have actually consumed a large part of our lives and money. But it’s not our life, is it? It’s the life of the bank, of the beautiful cars that appear to spite us and make us buy them. All on credit, because we just: “we don’t have the money!”
When the bank no longer uses you, do you use it? Would you want that? You need to know that you can use the bank to generate profit for you. You can use companies to invest your money and you can enjoy financial independence. You work to earn money, and your money, invested, will work for you.
Don’t be afraid! Investment companies will not take your money. Insurance and investment companies, usually, have been around for hundreds of years. The principle of saving and investing money dates back to the time of the Roman Empire. Citizens and soldiers deposited a sum of money in a common fund, and those who lived the longest received income in the form of salaries. Those who were not so lucky and died, the government took part of their money. (Tony Robbins “Money: Master the Game). Didn’t you know? Me neither, but I’m informing myself.
How many read personal finance books? Few, right? And how many have money? Few. How many talk about money? Few. How many don’t want to address this topic in a discussion? Many. Hmmm…
Good luck in becoming aware of money (and approaching it)!
