If you are an entrepreneur, you know very well that in the last year and a half we have had 3 legislative changes: salary increases, the transition of some businesses to profit tax, the increase in the tax per dividend and new increases are already announced from this year.
Do you still want to obtain a higher profit because no, that’s why you work on your own; do you want to give much more value to your work and be able to become financially independent? However, despite this, it is necessary to respect tax legislation, to contribute to the state budget. For all this, there are solutions through which we help our employees, but we also help the state budget and we also help ourselves to keep a much larger part of the amount collected in the company. What are these solutions and what financial and fiscal advantages and benefits do we obtain?
Health insurance
Health insurance is a form of investment for your employees. You offer them health insurance that you pay from the company, and the payment to the insurance represents a deductible expense in your company’s accounting. If you have a company that pays corporate income tax, such a solution will help you the most because it can even equalize your income and expenses, so that the tax represents the smallest amount you can take out of the company. The people you work with will actually benefit from the money paid to the insurance.
For every 100 lei paid for insurance, 300 lei reach your employee through the medical services he benefits from. Your employee gets his medical check-ups and treatments at the best private clinics, no longer stands in line for appointments and has a certain medical standard just because you thought of him and offered him such a possibility.
Health insurance, unlike medical subscriptions, contains more medical services and even a 100% rebate on the included services.
Another financial advantage for your company is that within the limit of 400 euros per year per employee there is tax deductibility, which allows you to have this as the gross and net amount that is taken out of the company and that reaches the insurance company; the company that offers at least 400 euros per year of medical services for the employee.
Private Pension Pillar III
The optional pension Pillar III is an investment fund that allows your employee to have an extra amount, compared to the pension they will receive from the state, just because you contracted it. Yes, you can save an amount for your employee, an amount that is tax deductible for you within the limit of 400 euros per year per employee and represents a 100% expense for your company’s accounting.
Your employee will get an annual return of between 4 and 8% on his money; the money saved because you offered him this amount monthly. He can support his retirement expenses by as much as 20-30% just through this form of investment that he may not have thought of, but you did. This amount that he will receive upon retirement will also be tax-free. Private pillar 3 pensions are not taxed within the limit of 2000 lei/month.
Unit-linked life insurance
If you want to develop your business in the future but you have many expenses, you have salaries to pay, increasingly higher taxes and fees and you have nowhere to put money aside or allocate to the development of your business, such a solution is ideal. The monthly amount you invest – it is recommended that it be between 5-15% of your company’s monthly revenue – represents 100% an expense in your company. The amount you deposit in such a contract generates between 5-12%/year and allows you to accumulate an amount with which to later develop your business: to buy new equipment, hire more people, develop new products or create services related to the main field. The money is invested in stocks, various funds, ETFs, so that your money produces. The profit made from this investment is not taxed, which allows you a greater flow of capital into the company. Such a flow of capital also provides you with a cashflow and can also save you, even from bankruptcy.
Ex. If you have income of 10,000 lei and expenses of only 5,000 lei, you can invest the amount of 5,000 lei monthly. In 10 years, at an annual return of 9%, you will have approximately 170,000 euros, and in 20 years, 573,000 euros, a net profit of only 50,000 euros, while with a 20-year investment, you will obtain a net profit of 333,000 euros.
